HE Minister of Administrative Development, labor and Social Affairs Dr Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi launched the "smart jacket" for workers on Saturday. 
 The jacket invented by a Qatari engineer and launched Saturday on the sidelines of the 2nd Occupational Safety and Health Conference, features a helmet with a cooling system, and a chip that sends warning signals if it detects rapid heartbeat or increased breathing. On receiving the signals that indicate the health condition of the worker, the control room can take appropriate action.  The tracking device works by solar power and includes an audio communication system.

    HE Dr Al Nuaimi pointed out that this smart jacket manufactured in cooperation with a leading Chinese company is ready for sale in Qatar and available in other countries also.
He noted that the Second Occupational Safety and Health Conference brings together representatives of international organizations concerned with workers, local authorities, institutions and companies to exchange views and experiences in providing safe and healthy and healthy work environments.
    During the opening session of the conference, the occupational safety and health awards were presented various companies.
