The strategic depth of the Qatar-German relationship, reflected clearly in the strong political relations between the two friendly countries, has been stressed by the German ambassador Hans-Udo Muzel.

The envoy is accompanying the delegation headed by HE the Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohamed al-Thani to Germany.

"Germany is considered the most important economic power in Europe and Qatar is the largest producer and exporter of LNG, which is considered the most efficient and environment-friendly hydrocarbon energy resource," the ambassador pointed out in a statement.

"The two countries enjoy a number of common interests on the political, economic and culture levels, because Qatar is an important strategic investor in Germany.

"Germany also is one of largest exporters to Qatar and the gateway of Qatar to the European Union and its neighbours and Eastern Europe, as Germany is the meeting point for technological, economic and industrial powers in Europe," he added.
