HE the Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohamed al-Thani met yesterday with Dr Peter Ramsauer, president of the Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry and chairman of the Committee on Economic Affairs and Energy in the German Bundestag. The meeting was attended by Qatar’s ambassador to Germany Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman al-Thani. During the meeting, HE the Minister discussed with the German official bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and related issues of common interest. The advantages of investing in Qatar were also discussed along with the incentives offered to make the country attractive for foreign investors and German companies. HE the Minister stressed the importance of the Qatar-Germany Business Forum, which will be held in Germany and focus on support for and enhancement of small- and mid-size companies, as well as the importance of making joint Qatari-German partnerships in various fields. HE Sheikh Ahmed also met with Lars-Hendrik Roller, German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s economic adviser, as well as senior officials of major German companies on the sidelines of the ongoing Hanover International Industrial Fair 2018 in Germany.
