Qatar University College of Business and Economics (QU-CBE) yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Amwal Company to establish collaboration in the field of executive training, education, and research. The MoU was signed by QU vice president for Academic Affairs Dr Omar al-Ansari and Amwal Company founder and chairperson Sheikha Hanadi Nasser bin Khaled al-Thani, in the presence of CBE dean Dr Khalid Shams al-Abdulqader and officials from both institutions.
The terms of the MoU include collaboration between both parties in the field education and research; student internships, competitions, and awards; as well as student scholarships and sponsorships. Both parties will also co-operate on the provision of professional training for senior and graduate students, the sponsorship of the Finance Club, and hiring CBE graduates after graduation. Other areas of collaboration include the organisation of joint conferences and workshops.
Dr Omar al-Ansari said, “The agreement will serve as a platform to exchange knowledge and best practices that will be of invaluable benefit to our students. It also shows QU’s commitment to shape the future generation of experts and professionals by offering them high-quality academic programmes and by equipping them with the skills, competencies and mindset needed for a successful career, in line with the goals of
Qatar National Vision 2030.”
Sheikha Hanadi said, “It is a great honour to sign a MoU with QU. This is in line with our aim to exchange best practices and experiences with the leading institutions in Qatar.”
