Qatar Foundation (QF) vice chairperson and CEO HE Sheikha Hind bint Hamad al-Thani welcomed Fatima Maada Bio, the first lady of Sierra Leone, to Education City on Sunday.
Sheikha Hind met Bio at QF headquarters, where she was given a comprehensive presentation highlighting QF’s different education institutes, science and research centres, and community development initiatives.
During the visit, Bio learned how QF’s flagship development, Education City, serves as a hub of academic excellence, housing a range of educational facilities, from QF schools to partner universities and its homegrown research institute, Hamad Bin Khalifa University.
Following the presentation, Bio and the accompanying delegation were taken to the open-air viewing platform on the eighth floor of QF headquarters, where they were shown the infrastructure of Education City and discussed future plans at QF.
