People pull a wooden chariot through crowds during the Bisket Jatra festival, held to mark the Nepalese New Year in Bhaktapur, some 12km east of Kathmandu, yesterday. The festival, which began on April 10, is celebrated for nine days by the ethnic Newar community in Bhaktapur.
