Thundershowers and strong winds are expected in different parts of the country today, the Qatar Met department has said.
The weather office has also issued a marine warning for thundery rain in some places along with strong winds and high seas.
The wind speed in inshore areas will be 8-18 knots, reaching a high of 25 knots during rain and thunder. Offshore, the wind speed may go up to 30 knots in some areas.
The detailed forecast for today says it will be partly cloudy and there is a chance of rain in some places, which may be thundery at times, and slight to blowing dust is also likely.
Offshore, slightly dusty and cloudy conditions are expected today along with scattered rain, which may be accompanied by thunder occasionally. The sea level, meanwhile, may rise to 9ft.
The temperature in Doha is expected to range from 24C to 32C today. Yesterday, the minimum and maximum temperatures in the city were 26C and 29C, respectively.
