Woqod Vehicles Inspection (Fahes) is participating in the ongoing 34th “Traffic Week”, joining hands with General Directorate of Traffic within the Ministry of Interior initiative to bring awareness to the public regarding safe driving skills and alleviate accidents.
The Traffic Week, taking place at Darb Al Saai until March 24, is a key part of Qatar’s commitment to improving road safety and encouraging positive behaviours as part of the National Road Safety Strategy 2013-2022.
“Your life is a trust” is the main theme of the week-long awareness campaign.
Messages on “safe driving” and to “beware of others’ faults” are being highlighted.
Fahes representatives will be explaining the guiding principle behind the motto “Keeping an Eye on Your Safety”.
In addition, a mobile station along with the VIN (vehicle identification number) stamping van is stationed to carry out live inspections.
Woqod chief executive Saad Rashid al-Muhannadi said: “We are committed to supporting Qatar’s National Vision 2030 through initiatives that will have a positive impact on Qatari society for future generations.”
