Under the patronage of His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani will open the 6th Qatar International Agricultural Exhibition & Conference "AgriteQ" at Doha Exhibition & Convention Centre (DECC) on Tuesday.

The exhibition will showcase the latest innovations in agricultural techniques and hold a series of lectures and meetings to discuss current and future projects in the agricultural sector with farm owners, agricultural experts, government agencies, environmental specialists and technology providers. The exhibition will also feature panel discussions, presentations, reports and open forums, as well as presenting the most important opportunities and the latest technologies that can be used to support the growing agricultural sector in the country.

Among these activities is "a B2B Matching Platform", a specialized platform for reconciling enterprises and businesses to meet senior decision makers and agricultural leaders from the public and private sectors, as well as "the auction" which is intended to display cattle, poultry and other animals on a group of farmers, in addition to a series of workshops organized by experts and technicians working in the agricultural sector to introduce the latest technologies adopted in this sector.

A number of events will be held on the sidelines of the expo, notably the first Qatar International Agriculture Conference, which aims to bring together agricultural, environmental and veterinary experts and technology service providers from around the world to discuss strategies to meet the demand for agriculture in Qatar.

The exhibition will also offer an educational theatre for children and young people to consolidate their concept of agriculture, as well as a mini zoo with several types of animals and birds to provide them and other visitors with an educational experiences.

The expo will also highlight the most important products, machines and technologies for a wide range of agricultural professionals, and it will promote opportunities with senior public and private decision makers, as well as to establish a network of relationships with distributors and potential buyers of agricultural services and products, in addition to exchanging experiences and knowledge with local and international experts in this field and to learn about the latest developments in the agricultural sector in Qatar.

The number of participants in the current edition has reached more than 313 exhibitors and 31 international pavilions from more than 36 countries.
