The Public Works Authority 'Ashghal' announced that it would implement a temporary closure on part of Al Hurriya Street, located behind the ‘Lulu Hypermarket’ in Al Khor.

The closure extends for 20 metres only in both directions, at the intersection of Al Hurriya Street with Ras Al Qirma Street. The closure will start on Tuesday, 13 March, 2018 and will last for a period of 60 days, in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.

During this period, traffic heading to Al Amir Street and Ras Al Qirma Street via Al Hurriya Street can use the neighboring local roads, Ashghal said in a press statement on Sunday.

The traffic change is required to enable the works of laying Sewer rising mains as part of design, build, operate and maintain of Al Thakhira Sewage Treatment Works, Transfer Pumping Station and Associated Pipelines.

Ashghal will install road signs to advice motorists of the closure. The authority requests all road users to abide by the speed limits, and follow the road signs to ensure their and others safety.
