Indonesian Ambassador to Qatar Air Marshal (Retired) Muhammad Basri Sidehabi recently held a gathering with the community with lectures on cancer prevention. He had invited Indonesian delegates of Permata Harapan Cancer Centre (PHCC) Surakarta and Megapolitan Smart Services (MSS) at his residence. The delegates were led by Deddy Saiful Hadi, former Indonesian ambassador to Qatar, member of advisory board PHCC Surakarta and chairman of MSSJ.
In his speech, Ambassador Basri welcomed and appreciated the role of PHCC and MSS in health awareness particularly related to cancer in Indonesia. He conveyed his appreciation and thanks to Deddy for his excellent contributions towards enhancing bilateral relations with Qatar during his tenure from 2012 to 2016.
Speaking at the gathering, Deddy said that his visit to Qatar was to show his commitment to strengthening Indonesia-Qatar ties. His seven delegates consisted of Dr Heru Priyanto Samadi, President Director of PHCC; Dr Desi Mayasari Djamaluddin, CEO PHCC Surakarta; Dr Leny Maryouri Anna Watie, Director of MSSJ; Dr Widya Destiny Setiawan, Research and Development Manager PHCC Surakarta; Agus Setyadi, Director MSSJ; and Rizky G. Partakusuma, Public Notary.
According to Indonesian Embassy official Boy Dharmawan, the delegate held a series of lectures which are attended by the community representatives from various cities in Qatar such as Doha, Dukhan, Al Khor, Mesaieed and Wakrah.
