Qatar's population has returned to an all-time high of 2.7mn, according to figures released by the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics (MDPS) on Thursday.
As of February 28, there were 2.7mn people in Qatar, indicating that the figures are in the same region as May 2017, when there were as many people in the country.
The latest figure shows an increase of 2.2% compared to January 2018 (2.64mn) and 1% compared to February 2017.
Usually the population shoots up every year between February 1 and May 31 but falls between June 1 and August 30.
This fall is mainly owing to the school vacation when a considerably large number of people are away from the country.
