His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met yesterday with the visiting US Congressman, representative of Utah’s second congressional district Chris Stewart, who is also member of the US House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, and his accompanying delegation. The meeting, at Al Bahr Palace, focused on reviewing strategic ties between Qatar and the US, particularly in counterterrorism. They also discussed the latest regional and international developments. HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani also met Stewart. The meeting focused on bilateral relations and the means to enhance them, besides discussing regional and international issues of joint interest.
