Qatar condemns attacks in Afghanistan
Qatar expressed yesterday its strong condemnation of the two attacks that targeted a diplomatic area in Kabul and a military base in Farah province in West Afghanistan, leaving scores of people either dead or injured. In a statement yesterday the Foreign Ministry renewed Qatar’s firm position against violence and terrorism regardless of its motives. It also expressed Qatar’s condolences to the families of the victims.

Children vulnerable to injury in road crashes
The Hamad Injury Prevention Programme (HIPP) launched yesterday traffic safety awareness activities at a number of schools in Qatar. Choosing schools as the venue for those activities was due to research which showed that children and young adults are among the most vulnerable to injury in road traffic crashes.
