Starz Play, the fastest growing on-demand video streaming service in the Mena region, and Ooredoo announced yesterday that acclaimed series ‘Power’ and ‘Mars’ will now be available in 4K quality for viewers to enjoy on their Ooredoo tv.
Produced by Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson, ‘Power’ is an edgy crime drama that straddles New York’s glamorous club scene and brutal narcotics trade. Season 4 of the Starz Original series exclusively premiered on Starz Play in June 2017, with season 5 slated to arrive in June 2018.
A six-part miniseries produced by National Geographic, ‘Mars’ is a fictional tale about an astronaut crew on the very first human Mars mission in 2033, set alongside interviews with real-world space experts.
The new 4K content will further supplement Starz Play’s existing 10,000 hours of the best Hollywood and Bollywood movies, documentaries, children’s entertainment, same-day-as-the-US TV series, and dedicated Arabic content – all available in full HD.
New fibre home customers can now access the new 4K content by simply pressing the ‘Home’ button on their Ooredoo tv remote control, then selecting ‘Clubs’ and selecting the 4K folder on the main screen.
Existing customers can upgrade to the new fibre home plans and receive Starz Play for free.
Ooredoo tv is available now via Ooredoo Shops, Starlink, TechnoBlue, and Jumbo outlets. The service has no upfront charges, no equipment costs, and no ongoing contracts.
