Q-Tire will be a partner in the Red Bull Car Park Drift being held on Friday, the leading tyre retail and servicing chain has announced.
The high-profile motorsports event is held under the support and supervision of Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation, and in partnership with Vodafone Qatar, Losail Circuit Sports Club, Total, and Falken Tires.
The annual drift showdown, to be held at the Losail Circuit Sports Club at 7pm, is expected to attract dozens of contestants as well as thousands of motorsports fans. Q-Tire is sponsoring ‘The Brother Team’, comprising Abdullah al-Mohtaseb, A Zarif and archer and road racer Nada Zeidan, who will be making her debut in car drift. Contestants will be expected to display their proficiency behind the steering wheel as they take on a challenging new course inspired by the Red Bull athlete and drift champion Abdo Feghali, who will be supervising and performing at the event. “I’m looking forward to crowning Qatar’s next King of Drift that will qualify for the grand finale in Lebanon,” he said.
The contestants are judged based on their skills, precision and creativity as they aim to attain the highest scores. The higher the score, the closer they become to being crowned Qatar’s 2018 King of Drift. The Red Bull Car Park Drift Series comes with a high standard of safety and security that guarantees an entertaining environment for both the participants as well as the audience.
