Chairman of Qatar’s Civil Aviation Authority Abdullah bin Nasser Turki al-Subaie met the President of Directorate General of Civil Aviation in Kuwait, Sheikh Salman Sabah al-Salem al-Hamoud al-Sabah yesterday.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance co-operation between the two countries in the fields of civil aviation and air transport.
During the meeting, al-Subaie stressed the strength of the social and economic relations between the two countries and their keenness to upgrade them.
He expressed the hope that the visit to Kuwait will achieve the desired objectives.
Al-Subaie also expressed his happiness about the recent participation of Qatar in the first edition of Kuwait Aviation Show, which was successful, adding that this success gave a message that Kuwait is ready to enter as a major competitor in the aviation market in the region.
Following the meeting, the Director General of Kuwait Civil Aviation Engineer Yousef al-Fouzan said they discussed means of co-operation in the fields of air transport, safety systems and exchange of experiences between the two sides to hold joint technical sessions.
Al-Fouzan explained that the meeting also touched on the possibility of using the Fifth Freedom, which provides for transport exchange rights and the provision of facilities in a manner that achieves flexibility for air carriers between the two countries.
