Doha Bank was once again among the top participating institutions in the walkathon hosted by Qatar Central Bank (QCB) to commemorate National Sport Day.
The event saw the participation of Doha Bank staff from various levels of the organisation, including members of its senior management team.
The walkathon hosted by QCB has established itself as one of the highlights of the National Sport Day calendar of events, and the popularity was once again evident as thousands of enthusiastic men and women poured into the streets of Doha to participate in the event, which started from the QCB building up to the Ministry of Interior building and returning back to QCB, according to a press statement.
“Doha Bank has a rich history of organising and supporting sporting events that spread the message of healthy living, most notably through hosting our hugely popular Al Dana Green Run. Our strong participation in the walkathon hosted by QCB is part of our broader community engagement programme aimed at encouraging people to adopt a more healthy and active lifestyle,” said Dr R Seetharaman, Group CEO of Doha Bank.
He added, “Doha Bank is a strong believer in the importance of sport and physical activity in ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of employees, and we continually invest in workplace wellness programmes and host staff tournaments in various sporting disciplines to develop a healthy and motivated workforce. I take this opportunity to congratulate all Doha Bank employees who contributed to the success of this year’s walkathon hosted by QCB through their participation.”
