Second Chance Rescue Support Team (SCRST), a group of young people from Academic Bridge Programme (ABP) recently hold a host of activities at 2nd Chance Rescue-Qatar, a shelter for animals.
ABP works under the umbrella of Pre-University Education (PUE) and offers its students a unique opportunity to prepare for entry into Education City universities. The animal shelter was established by Abdulla al-Naemi on the family farm.
The SCRST, helps organise food donations and other practical tasks at the anima shelter, under guidance and supervision by Dr Avril O’Donoghue, organised a brunch combined with a range of fun activities on the grounds of the animal shelter. It was attended by families and friends of the students as well as several ABP teachers.
Dr Avril, who is Head of the Science Department at ABP, appreciated the students and their families for making the event successful and arranging a lot of food.
