AFG College with the University of Aberdeen is organising the first Qatar Fun Run, which will take place on National Sport Day 2018. 
The event will start at 8.30am in the Al Waab area.
“We are going to hold the first Qatar Fun Run to coincide with National Sport Day 2018 in line with Qatar National Vision 2030 and in accordance with the guidance of His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani. We expect to have a large number of students and family members participating in the event,” said Dr Sheikha Aisha bint Faleh al-Thani, founder and chairperson, Al Faleh Group (AFG).
“The event will be held on Al Ghariya Street in the Al Waab area and start at 8.30am. Students and staff of AFG College Aberdeen as well as partnering and sponsoring companies will take part in the event,” added the official.
The partners of the event are NBK Holding and Al Waab City. Platinum sponsors are Mercedes-Benz, National Industrial Contracting Company, NBK Travel, while gold sponsors are Lina’s, QAUTO, Doha Insurance Group, Doha Takaful and Harley-Davidson. 
All the proceeds from the event will go to Education Above All, a global education programme launched by Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, chairperson of Qatar Foundation.
