QatarDebate — member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development — recently organised the 3rd Qatar Universities Debate League in English with a total of 24 participating teams from seven institutions. The participants debated around three motions during the tournament. The debating teams represented Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar, College of North Atlantic in Qatar, Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in Qatar, Northwestern University Qatar, Qatar University, Texas A&M University in Qatar and Weill Cornell Medicine Qatar.
QatarDebate in collaboration with the National Committee for the Prohibition of Weapons (NCPW) held a public debate between the top four teams of the 3rd Qatar Universities Debate League Tournament which followed directly after the conclusion of the Qatar University Debate League with the participation of the majority of institutions of higher education in Qatar.
