Astad has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Yüksel Proje, Turkey’s largest engineering consultancy, to identify mutual business opportunities in engineering, construction management, and design fields in a ceremony held in Ankara, Turkey.
The MoU, which was signed at Yüksel Proje’s headquarters in December 2017, paves the way for bilateral co-operation and joint strategic objectives aimed at exploring markets and directing efforts towards viable projects.
Engineer Ali al-Khalifa, Astad CEO, said: “This agreement is a reflection of the continued efforts Astad is making towards enhancing business relations between Qatari and Turkish companies. 
“As Astad is Qatar’s leading project management consultancy, and Yüksel Proje is Turkey’s leading engineering consultancy, this MoU aims to support the development of building and infrastructure in both of our countries, ultimately benefiting both of our nations’ economies.”
Yüksel Proje chairman Celal Akin said: “This MoU furthers our international strategic partnerships. Our experience coupled with Astad’s expertise will allow us to deliver unmatched services across wider regions and broader business lines for clients around the globe.”
Astad COO Fahad al-Jahrami said: “Delivering world-class projects on time, within budget and with quality is a goal shared by both Yüksel Proje and Astad. With this MoU, our firms commit to enhancing relations and seizing new opportunities and partnerships for the Qatari and Turkish market.”
This MoU is one of several agreements Astad has signed in recent months as part of the company’s international expansion.
Astad has managed and delivered some of Qatar’s most complex building and infrastructure projects in various sectors of the construction industry. With more than 800 employees, Astad has worked on over 250 projects covering education, healthcare, sports, commercial, residential, and transport, bringing together all the necessary components required to build a booming nation with a bright future to look forward to.
Yüksel Proje was founded in 1978 and is the largest engineering consultancy in Turkey operating in 15 countries with over 1,300 employees. They provide services in the areas of design, project management and construction supervision for large-scale projects nationally and internationally.
