PM briefs Advisory Council on govt’s plan
At the invitation of HE the Advisory Council Speaker Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid al-Mahmoud, HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani attended a meeting held yesterday to discuss the government’s plan and programme in view of the regional and international developments, especially the siege imposed on the country.

Baghdad’s double explosion condemned
Qatar expressed its strong condemnation of the double explosion that targeted the Tayyaran Square in central Baghdad and left a number of people killed and injured. In a statement issued yesterday, the Foreign Ministry reiterated Qatar’s firm stance in rejection of violence and terrorism no matter what the motives and causes were. The statement voiced Qatar’s condolences to the families of victims.
