The celebrity from tinseltown will be part 
of the Bollywood Week in the ongoing

Kareena Kapoor Khan is coming to Doha to attend a fashion show during the Bollywood Week of the ongoing Shop Qatar Festival 2018. The fashion show will be held at Mondrian Doha, West Bay on January 17 at 6pm.
The second week of the Shop Qatar Festival – which started on January 7 and will continue till February 7 – is being celebrated as Bollywood Week. The second week includes activities ranging from fashion shows, to music concerts and cultural shows highlighting dresses and other things from India and other South Asian countries.
Kareena will walk on the ramp during Bollywood Fashion Show. The show is being organised by Talent Resources. As many as six well-known designers from India will take part in the fashion show.
Talking to Community, Rahat Mansoor, who runs Talent Resources, said, “Yes it has been confirmed that Kareena will walk on the ramp on January 17 along with other models. This is going to be a big fashion show as six well-known fashion designers from India are taking part in the show. The participation by the Bollywood celebrity will make it much bigger and more attractive for residents of Doha.”
She noted, “Entry to the fashion show is free. Participation of women and couples is encouraged. We are not allowing kids and bachelors. The seats will be provided on first come first served basis. The show will also include Indian cultural and dance performances. People can get their invitations online (evite) after getting registered at www.talentresource.org”
About the fashion designs, she said, “The show will include dresses and designs from India highlighting bridal, ethnic, and cultural trends. Six Indian designers and brands that will take part in the show include: Archana Kochhar, Nida Mahmood, Pallavi Jaipur, Ankita by Saaj, Mandira Virk, and Vikram Phondis.”
Sharing brief information about the six designers and brands, she said that catering to bridal, cocktail prêt, resort and men’s wear, Archana Kochhar’s designs have been donned by celebrities from India like Prabhu Deva, Shriya Saran, Amrita Rao, Nargis Fakhri, Jacqueline Fernandez, Bipasha Basu and Vijender Singh, among others. Kochhar has showcased her designs at events like Lakme Fashion Week, India Fashion Week and New York Fashion Week. She was conferred with the Anokhi Excellence in Design 2015 award in Toronto, Canada. She is the brand ambassador of Smile Foundation, which works towards the cause of girl child education in India.
About Nida Mahmood, she said that the brand delivers a positive, memorable, and unexpected experience. Nida Mahmood’s designs focus on simple aesthetics and technical aspects, giving way to a global design strategy based on the totality of the brand experience.
Rahat added that Pallavi’s amalgamation of traditional forms and modern sensibilities into a contemporary wear was her brand’s philosophy, emphasising on global style.
SAAJ By Ankita is a famous Indian brand specialising in bridal dresses. Mandira Virk is a celebration of sartorial splendour. For over 15 years, the label has marked a niche for itself when it comes to the makeover of the classic nine yards in luxurious feminine silhouettes that marry delicate artisanship with elegant detailing to ultimately render works of wearable art. 
Vikram Phadnis started his career as a choreographer before rising to fame as a fashion designer. His journey has been an inspiration to all those who want to make it big in the fashion industry. His work also mainly circles around marriage fashions both for bride and groom.
Organised by Qatar Tourism Authority, the Shop Qatar Festival started with an Arabian Week. This week focused on activities related to Arab world. It also had Arabian fashion shows and make-up workshops.
The Bollywood Week is going to have a presentation on how to make bangles and how to have embroidery on clothes, besides the fashion show. It will also have a music concert by Indian Singer Sonu Nigam on July 19.
The third week of the festival will be International Week. In this week international brands will be showcased and cultural events from different countries will be held.
