Qatar Charity has launched its ‘Positive Society’ campaign aimed at highlighting the services that Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) provides.

In its third edition, Qatar Charity said the campaign awarded a number of HMC officials, which “highlights the role that state institutions play for the development of the nation.”
Qatar Charity’s head of social programmes Farid Saddiqi presented ‘honour shields and gratitude certificates’ to HMC’s Development of Physicians director Dr Abdulatif Mohamed al-Khal, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Medicine Department head Dr Wafaa Salah al-Yazidi, and Muaither Complex for Care and Rehabilitation’s Nursing and Rehabilitation director Aysha al-Khayareen.
At the reception, Qatar Charity’s donation department head Badrya al-Yaqoot pointed out the importance of the projects and achievements that state institutions have accomplished over the past years.
She praised the previous two editions of “Positive Society,” which introduced Qatar Charity as humanitarian and developmental institution and highlighted the role of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
The campaign also highlighted the contribution of influential Qatari females for supporting people with special needs and promoting their cause in the Qatari society.
Al-Khal briefed the audience about the services that HMC provides, as well as the latest medical technologies used to improve the quality of medical services in the country.
Dr. Al Khal also praised Qatar’s efforts to promote and develop the healthcare sector and ensuring to meet the latest international medical standards.
He noted that HMC consists of 10 public and specialty hospitals, as well as homecare and ambulance services.
In his speech, al-Khal focused on the mechanism adopted by HMC to prepare future doctors and provide them with continuing vocational medical education.
He pointed out that in order to develop and nurture future doctors, HMC established specialised medical training programmes.
