The Met department has said strong winds are expected in parts of the country by midday today, following yet another spell of fog, mist and poor visibility in the morning.
Low visibility is also likely in offshore areas in the early hours of the day, and there is a warning for windy conditions and high seas by the evening.
Southeasterly-southwesterly winds will blow at 3-10 knots inland, which will turn northwesterly with speeds of 10-20 knots that may go up to 28 knots in some places, according to the weather report.
Offshore, southeasterly-southwesterly winds will blow at 3-13 knots, which will also become northwesterly and have speeds of 15-25 knots by the evening.
The detailed forecast says hazy to misty/foggy conditions are expected inland in the early hours, which will be followed by moderate temperatures and slight to blowing dust in some places along with scattered clouds.
Visibility may drop to 2km or less in certain areas in the morning hours.
The report says offshore areas, too, are likely to experience hazy to misty/foggy conditions in some places at first. Slight dust is expected at times and it will also be partly cloudy later. The sea level may rise to 8ft by the evening.

Meanwhile, different parts of Qatar continued to experience dense fog yesterday. Urging people to be cautious, the Met department tweeted yesterday morning that “widespread fog and poor visibility” continued to prevail in most parts of the country. A gradual improvement in visibility was expected
after 9am.
An alert for fog and poor visibility was issued at night as well, with the Met department stating that the conditions were likely to continue until this morning.
On its part, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) reminded motorists yesterday morning to “pay extra attention while driving” as poor horizontal visibility was recorded on most external roads due to fog.
The MoI had earlier issued an advisory on safe driving during foggy conditions.
