The Ministry of Municipality and Environment has decided to convert six residential streets into commercial streets in different parts of Qatar with a total length of 17km. The decision comes within the framework of the directives of His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani on the importance of advancing the economic development of the country, which is one of the most important pillars of Qatar National Vision 2030. The Ministry said in a statement yesterday that the conversion of these streets will provide a range of commercial services to meet the needs of residents of the regions. The decision will result in the availability of 200,000 sq m of commercial properties and 400,000 sq m of residential / administrative properties with different architectural styles. The statement added that turning the new commercial activity will provide more investment opportunities for the private sector and citizens.
