Three musicals will highlight the country’s rich heritage and history at a three-day event starting tomorrow at Katara – the Cultural Village’s Drama Theatre.
In co-operation with the Memory and Heritage Foundation, the event will discuss and present the Qatari people’s culture, victories and authentic values. It will take place at Building 16 from
7.30pm to 9pm.
The first opera will focus on diving while the second, titled “The Story of a Country,” stresses the importance of social cohesion and solidarity between the Qataris since ancient times, whether through the family or the Farij, or when travelling to dive.
The third operetta, titled “Country Identity,” will talk about the historical narratives portraying the evolution of life in Qatar through dialogue between grandparents and granddaughters.
In staging this event, Katara aims to revive the Qatari heritage with all its features and details to showcase its national identity to the young generations and visitors from other cultures.
