The Bedaya Centre for Entrepreneurship and Career, a joint initiative by Qatar Development Bank and Silatech, has organised the ‘Souq Maqtoora: National Day Edition’ – known as the first rotating market in the country.

Souq Maqtoura will run until March 2018 between 4pm to 9pm at Katara – the Cultural Village aimed at supporting entrepreneurs in the country.

With the participation of more than 30 projects, the event is described as an exceptional initiative showcasing products that focus and highlights the spirit of Qatar’s National Day celebrations.

Souq Maqtoura also demonstrates the efforts of entrepreneurs in responding to the unjust blockade imposed on the country.

“This initiative provides the necessary platform for entrepreneurs to leave a distinct footprint in the local market,” Bedaya general manager Reem al-Suwaidi said.

Bedaya highlighted the special version of Souq Maqtoura at the celebration to shows its support for local businesses. It was demonstrated by the participation of entrepreneurs from diverse sectors such as textiles, accessories, and fragrance, among others.

“Through Souq Maqtoura, we have been able support many companies and startups to showcase their distinctive products that coincide with the National Day celebrations,” she added.
