Doha Bank holds events for QND

Doha Bank’s Qatar National Day celebrations yesterday featured events celebrating the values of brotherhood, unity and loyalty towards Qatar and His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.
As one of the main sponsors of “AL SEEB”, Doha Bank flagged off celebrations with the 13th edition of Al Dana Green Run, a flagship CSR (corporate social responsibility) event.
The event, held at Aspire Zone in Doha on December 9, witnessed a turnout of around 6,000 runners and supporters. Cultural performances that celebrate Qatar’s rich heritage, like the traditional Ardha dance (sword dance), were also held.
Event jerseys featuring the Doha Bank logo, along with the image of the Emir and his quote, “Promise of Prosperity and Glory”, flooded the event as a way of demonstrating support for the runners, the country, and its leadership.
Celebrations outside Doha Bank headquarters in West Bay started early on December 14.
The plaza was decorated with the national flag’s colours and featured National Day 2017’s branding on the exterior of the Doha Bank corporate building, across the bank’s elevators, desktops and telephone screens.
Other entertainment and attractions for customers and staff at Doha Bank included a 3D hologram featuring the slogan “Promise of Prosperity and Glory”, a traditional tent set up to welcome guests and visitors to enjoy various activities, Qatari food and confectionery.
There was also the cutting of a Qatar flag-themed cake in the presence of Doha Bank managing director Sheikh Abdul Rehman bin Mohamed al-Thani, Doha Bank vice-chairman Ahmed Abdul Rahman Yousuf Obaidan Fakhroo, and Doha Bank head (Administration & Property Department) Ahmed Ali al-Henzab.
“The Qatar National Day is a day and moment I cherish every year, with my family, the staff at Doha Bank, and with communities across Qatar at large,” said Doha Bank chairman Sheikh Fahad bin Mohamed bin Jabor al-Thani.
Doha Bank managing director Sheikh Abdul Rehman said: “This year was marked by unforeseen challenges to Qatar, and we wanted to take this opportunity to redouble our efforts in making this occasion more festive and special than ever.
