Milaha has held a series of activities and events in observance of Qatar National Day at its headquarters in Ain Khaled, celebrating the country’s rich history and culture.
The events celebrated the history of Qatar as well as 60 years of Milaha, with the serving of traditional Qatari food, a cake-cutting ceremony, an Ardha dance performed by children, an exhibition of images showcasing Qatar’s history, a perfume- & incense-mixing station and a henna booth, among others.
Milaha’s staff and senior management participated in the various interactive activities and booths that aimed to entertain as well as educate the staff on the progress Qatar has made since the days of the founder, Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani. As part of the celebration, Milaha unveiled a giant Qatari flag made from the individual pictures of its staff.
Milaha’s chairman Sheikh Ali bin Jassim al-Thani said, “On this day, we reflect on the efforts undertaken by the founder, Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani, to unify the country and lay the foundations of a modern nation. We owe our success to the visionary leadership of Qatar over the years, and are grateful to His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, who is successfully continuing to guide Qatar towards further progress and innovation.”
Milaha’s president and CEO Abdulrahman Essa al-Mannai added, “Qatar National Day is a celebration of our country’s unification as well as a reminder of the growth and success it has achieved in such a short period. We, at Milaha, remain wholeheartedly committed to contributing to the realisation of our leadership’s vision of prosperity and development for the country.”
