The AFG College with the University of Aberdeen celebrated Qatar National Day in the Al-Maamoura campus. The event also marked the end of the first semester of the academic year 2017-2018.
Dr Sheikha Aisha bint Faleh al-Thani, founder and chairperson, Al Faleh Group, and Brian Buckley, principal of the AFG College with the University of Aberdeen, co-hosted the event in the presence of faculty, staff and students.
The college recently opened its doors to undergraduate students reading for degrees in business management, accountancy and finance. The University of Aberdeen is the fifth oldest university in the United Kingdom and has over 500 years of heritage in research and higher education.
The university offers vast opportunities for all its students and alumni, across a range of different specialisations and with the establishment of the University of Aberdeen programmes in Qatar, it marks the institutions first international partnership.
