Indian Air Force Air Chief Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa, left, and Sri Lanka’s Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe look on during a meeting in Colombo yesterday. The visit of the IAF chief would provide impetus towards increasing defence co-operation between the two air forces and pave the way for greater interaction in the future, a Sri Lankan defence ministry statement said. This would also strengthen relationships, enable engagement in productive exchanges and promote understanding of joint issues and challenges, it added.
