Qatar Primary Materials Company (QPMC) is supporting the upcoming ‘Made in Qatar 2017’ exhibition as Silver Sponsor, private sector leader Qatar Chamber announced in a statement yesterday.
The expo, which will kick off on Thursday, is organised by the Chamber, in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy and Industry, on a 29,000sqm area at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre.
With the participation of over 320 Qatari companies and 138 productive families, the four-day exhibition aims to promote locally-manufactured products, the Chamber said.
Qatar Chamber assistant director-general for Governmental and International Relations Ali Bu Sherbak al-Mansouri and QPMC head of Human Resources and Administrative Affairs Mohamed Abu Bakr al-Mahmoud signed the sponsorship agreement at the Chamber’s headquarters on Monday in the presence of Qatar Chamber director-general Saleh bin Hamad al-Sharqi.
In a press statement, QPMC CEO engineer Eisa al-Hammadi said: “We are pleased to sponsor and take part in the fifth edition of ‘Made in Qatar’, which contributes to promoting locally-made products, and further enhancing the role of industry in the local economy.”
Al-Hammadi invited all participants of the exhibition to visit the QPMC stand to learn more about the company’s strategic products for the local market.
Qatar Chamber extended its “deep gratitude” to QPMC for sponsoring the expo, including the previous editions. It also lauded the company’s role in fulfilling the demands of the Qatari market for Gabbro, dune and washed sand, and other required products for the country’s construction sector.
