The Qatar Finance and Business Academy (QFBA) has announced the launch of its range of open training programmes for 2018 to empower the largest number of new employees and professionals in Qatar who would benefit from academic and professional development, “according to the highest international standards.”
The programmes offer the latest internationally-recognised certifications in legal financial accounting, internal auditing, managerial accounting, financial markets and asset management, compliance and anti-money laundering, as well as other distinguished programmes, QFBA said in a statement yesterday.
It said the step comes in the framework of QFBA’s “relentless pursuit” to keep up with the latest in financial and administrative training development to promote Qatar’s youth in theory and practice, as well as in the context of its active participation in the fields of human resources and economic development towards its effective contribution to the realisation of the Qatar National Vision 2030.
Acting QFBA CEO Dr Mohamed Abdullah al-Emadi said: “As part of our preparations for the New Year, we have launched our 2018 academic programmes as our research indicates that the process of qualitative development and qualification is closely linked to sustainable development.
“In this context, we seek to attract the largest number of new employees and professionals working in the public and private sectors to join our world-class development programmes, so they can continue to develop their skills and improve their performance, thereby paving their way to assume leading roles in Qatar’s active financial and commercial services sector, as well as become successful professionals, entrepreneurs and decision makers.”
Al-Emadi said responding to the needs of companies, institutions, and individuals in terms of human capital development are among QFBA’s main missions to build a sustainable and prosperous economy, and to maintain stability and social development.
“Therefore, we are investing in Qatari people, as they are both the goal and means to our effective contribution to the realisation of self-sufficiency, in the framework of the implementation of the Qatar National Vision 2030,” he said.
QFBA said the announcement of new programmes for 2018 “represents an invitation to organisations and institutions to boost their investment in their human resources, which positively reflects upon their professional careers and the performance of the organisations themselves.”
The academy has discounted programme fees by 25%, excluding its Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) programmes.
Among the new accredited international certifications added or enhanced by QFBA is the International Association for Compliance (ICA) Diploma and the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS) certification.
QFBA’s programmes match the needs of experienced professionals, new employees and more recently, university graduates, and provide them with specialised educational and training courses in their fields to help them develop their careers and achieve the best results.
QFBA said it ensures that its programmes are interactive so that participants can apply everything they have learned in the work environment effectively.
