The Ministry of the Interior (MoI) won the first place in the awareness films competition - 2017 being organised by the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers annually.

The film on combating drugs was selected as the best awareness film.

This was announced on the sidelines of 41st Conference of Police and Security Commanders in Tunis, according to an Interior Ministry press release.

Brigadier Khalifa Abdullah al-Noaimi, Director General of the General Directorate of Criminal Evidence and Investigation and head of the Qatari delegation to the conference received the award.

The award emphasised the efforts of the Ministry in the field of security awareness and its keenness to spread multiple films and programmes at the local Arab and international levels.

Brigadier Abdullah Khalifa al-Muftah, Director of Public Relations Department, said that award signifies is the culmination of its efforts in the field of security awareness and reflects its keenness on deepening security awareness among Arab citizens in general and Qatari citizens and residents in particular.
