HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on the sidelines of the Rome Mediterranean Dialogues conference in Rome yesterday.
The meeting discussed bilateral ties and means to enhance them in the economic and cultural fields, in addition to the latest Gulf and regional developments.
HE Sheikh Mohamed also met with Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation Angelino Alfano on the sidelines of the Rome Mediterranean Dialogues conference.
The meeting focused on bilateral ties and the means to enhance them in the economic and cultural fields.
They also discussed the latest regional developments, particularly in Syria and Libya.
HE Sheikh Mohamed also met with Ghassan Salama, Special Representative of the Secretary-General and head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya.

During the meeting, HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister reiterated Qatar's support for the brotherly Libyan people and its support for the National Reconciliation Government and its efforts to reach a lasting political solution through comprehensive dialogue and national reconciliation.
