Qatar Charity (QC) has won the Best Arab Charity organisation of 2017 award, and the Best Arab Management Team recognition in the category of charity work at the second edition of the Best Arab Awards held in the city of Marrakech in Morocco.
Upon receiving the award, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Charity Yousef bin Ahmed al-Kuwari thanked all those who contributed to this achievement.
“This award is not for Qatar Charity, but for all the people of Qatar and the good people everywhere who give us confidence through the implementation of charity and supporting humanitarian work around the world,” he said.
Al-Kuwari stressed that this recognition increases the responsibility of Qatar Charity towards the needy people everywhere and increases its readiness to provide a helping hand and mitigate their suffering.
With regard to Qatar Charity obtaining the best management team recognition, al-Kuwari pointed out that what distinguishes Qatar Charity is having a governance system that encourages attracting many donors and financiers, as well as advanced systems that have facilitated the highest levels of transparency and quality, and have multi-cultural human resources and cadres able to deliver their services to all parts of the world, as well as the adaptation of the PCM project management methodology, and 14 donation tools to 2,500 collectible tool.
Al-Kuwari pointed out that Qatar Charity had obtained the ISO certification in the Quality Management System in 2004 and the ISO certificate in the 2017 Information Security Management System.
He explained that the wide presence of Qatar Charity – through 26 offices and 4 regional offices around the world – for implementation and direct supervision of projects, provided greater opportunities for the emergence of Qatari humanitarian action globally and for strengthening partnerships with international organisations.
