Emir enquires after Kuwaiti leader’s health
His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani held yesterday a phone talk with the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah to enquire after his health. The Kuwaiti leader underwent a normal medical checkup after having a cold. His Highness the Emir asked Allah Almighty to grant good health to the emir of Kuwait.

Emir congratulates Lebanese president
His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and His Highness the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani sent yesterday cables of congratulations to Lebanese President on his country’s Independence Day. HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani sent a similar cable of congratulations to Lebanese Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri. Meanwhile, President Aoun met with Qatar’s ambassador to Lebanon Ali bin Hamad al-Marri. The ambassador attended the military parade held on the occasion of the Independence Day in the presence of state officials, dignitaries and political, diplomatic, and military figures.
