Business France, the national agency supporting the international development of the French economy, is organising its second edition of the “French Qatar Sport Days” until tomorrow in Doha.
Qatar has been awarded to host the upcoming Football World Cup 2022. France acquired a strong record by hosting several international sporting events over the last decades and will organise the Rugby World Cup 2023 and the Olympic Games 2024. In this context, French companies involved in the field of sports are keen to put their latest innovations at the disposal of Qatar.
The conference is done by Mediatree, French company specialised in ICT contents and media set up, established in Qatar more than 10 years ago.
It will cover various topics such as smart stadiums and digital transformation. Orange Business Services will speak about ICT network, Gorgy Timing will introduce its digital signage, Payintech will present its e-payment services, whereas Vitec will showcase its broadcast solutions.
The conference is also gathering health and safety management professionals such as ISMA, the official medical manager of Euro 2016 and FIFA World Cup 1998, which were held in France.
During the event, a cluster of 30 French companies based in Doha, French Team 4 Sport, will highlight some projects their members are currently successfully working on.
Christelle Peyran, head, Business France Qatar, said, “France is an innovative nation, including in sports; Le Tremplin, our first business incubator focusing on the sports sector, opened in 2016 in Paris (Jean Bouin stadium). We have many other examples about the development of new technologies driven by sport infrastructures and venues, such as the official stadium of Nice football team, Allianz Riviera Stadium, powered by 7,000 square metres of solar panels.”
