Doha Bank has signed an agreement with Citizens Bank International, one of leading commercial bank in Nepal, for e-Remittance services.

Nepal CEO Rajan Singh Bhandari signed the agreement in the presence of Nepalese ambassador Ramesh Prasad Koirala and other officials from both entities.
Seetharaman said the arrangement will facilitate outward remittances to Nepal of Nepalese nationals working and living in Qatar. “The facilities will be available through the Internet and the Doha Bank mobile app. The customer will be able to remit money online in a safe, secured, and fast mode,” he said.
Bhandari expressed happiness over the tie-up, which, he said will benefit the Nepalese community to meet all their banking requirements in Qatar, and also remittance of money to Nepal through Doha Bank. Citizens Bank will help Nepalese community in Doha to open accounts in Nepal to facilitate banking needs in their home country.
Frank Hamer, chief international banking officer, Doha Bank, said that Doha Bank offers international money transfer facility to over 200 countries through mobile banking app and direct online remittance facility to countries like India, the Philippines, Indonesia, Lebanon, Turkey, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. “This is the most convenient and fast mode of remittance for expatriate community living in Qatar,” he added.
