The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) will organise various awareness activities for workers under the theme “Optimal use of Occupational Health and Safety Data” today at the Directorate of the National Medical Administration.
The programme is being held with the participation of the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs, Hamad Medical Corporation and Fox Qatar and Nasim al-Rabie Medical Centre.
The activities come within the framework of the MoPH’s efforts to promote the occupational health and safety of workers and raise awareness of migrant workers to ensure the development of occupational health and safety in the workplace to keep them free of diseases and occupational injuries.
The activities include medical examinations for workers, awareness lectures in several languages, workshops on how to use manual fire extinguishers, first aid in practice as well as the distribution of free drugs to workers after the medical diagnosis. Time for females is 8am to 10.30am and for males from 1pm to 6pm.
