HE the Minister of Transport and Communications Jassim Seif Ahmed al-Sulaiti met the visiting Turkish Minister of Transport, Maritime
Affairs and Communications Ahmet Arslan, yesterday. The meeting discussed co-operation between Qatar and turkey in the fields of
transport, communications, maritime and aviation. They also discussed ways to benefit from investment opportunities available in these fields, and a number of topics of common interest. The Turkish Minister visited Hamad Port accompanied by HE al-Sulaiti. During his visit, Ahmet Arslan was briefed on the operations of the port and the plans to start a second phase and increase its capacity. He also observed the operations at the port and the movement of cargo vessels. Ahmet Arslan praised the high quality of the port, reaffirming that Hamad Port will increase the trade co-operation between Qatar and Turkey.
