Youth participants attended a number of team building and project management workshops on the second day of Rota Leadership Training Programme ‘Rota Youth Challenge’ at Hamad Bin Khalifa University.
During Project Management Part 3 workshop, participants explored the role of a project manager and how to set project objectives.
Following the workshop, the participants were required to complete three different team building activities for programme facilitators to measure the effectiveness of each team using the training tools provided.
“Leadership workshops and programmes are of vital importance to the creation, preparation, and development of a new generation of local leaders that will ensure the continued advancement of our nation,” participant Mohamed al-Naame said.
“Perhaps one of the most important benefits I have reaped through my involvement in this programme is gaining a better more rounded understanding of the basic qualities of a leader and how to adapt it to any environment I am placed in,” he added.
Through its Leadership Training initiative, Rota, a programme of Education Above All, equips youth aged 16 to 26 in Qatar with core leadership, project and community service campaign management skills so they are better able to play an active role in developing their communities.
