A new world record for the longest selfie stick in the world was created in Qatar during the graduation ceremony of the second batch of Sky Climbers' talented individuals.
The stick, measuring 18m, was certified by the Guinness World Records as the world’s longest selfie stick, beating the previous record of 16m.
The ceremony, held at the theatre of Qatar National Convention Centre, was attended by graduates as well as a number of dignitaries and guests.
The initiative for the selfie stick record was led by Sky Climbers, which provides support to talented youth in the country.
The previous record was achieved by ITP Live on April 12 in Dubai.
