The Public Works Authority, Ashghal, will implement a temporary traffic diversion for 42 days from Thursday on Izghawa Interchange on Al Shamal Road to complete the works of the accesses and exits of the new junction as part of North Road Corridor Enhancement project.
To facilitate the construction, the west side of Izghawa Interchange will be closed until November 1, 2017.
During the detour planned in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, motorists can use the neighbouring Al Kharaitiyat Interchange in place of Izghawa Interchange. The local residents may travel through the local approaches as well, as shown on the map, and the newly constructed service roads along to access and exit Al Shamal Road.
For their safety, Ashghal has requested motorists to abide by traffic instructions and the newly installed signage.
