Al-Majles Diyafa Restaurant is now open in Medina Centrale, The Pearl-Qatar, it has been announced. A grand opening was held recently in the presence of Abdallah al-Hamadi, executive director of Portfolio Management at United Development Company (UDC), master developer of The Pearl-Qatar. The restaurant is themed around authentic Qatari design, according to a press statement, and is a tribute to Qatar’s rich culture and heritage. With this inauguration, Qatar’s Al-Majles Restaurant Group continues to successfully adapt its brand and offerings to suit the taste buds of local residents since it first began operations in the 1980s, the statement added. During the opening ceremony, an abstract piece of art was unveiled – a work of calligraphy inspired by the Qatari national anthem. Rashid al-Nuaimi, chairman of Dallah Group and Al-Majles Diyafa, said: “By blending local art, culture and heritage, Al-Majles Diyafa goes beyond tantalising the taste buds of the most discerning connoisseurs of fine dining and speaks directly to the hearts of our guests.” Pictured are dignitaries and officials at the opening.
