French frigate arrives to take part in exercises

The Directorate of Moral Guidance at the Ministry of Defence has announced the arrival of the French frigate Jean Bart at Hamad Port to participate in joint military exercises. The French frigate was welcomed by head of the directorate of military training Brigadier General (Pilot) Khalifa Saleh al-Nuaimi, on behalf of the Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces, in addition to Brigadier General (Naval) Ghanim Mubarak al-Khayareen, chief of the Qatari Emiri fleet. The directorate said the military exercises will be held near Hamad Port, Doha naval base and in the territorial waters of Qatar. These exercises come within the framework of joint military co-operation between the State of Qatar and the French Republic to combat terrorism and extremism, the Directorate added.
