The State of Qatar has participated in the first summit of the Organization of Islamic Co-operation (OIC) on science and technology, currently being held in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The State of Qatar was represented at the summit by HE Minister of Culture and Sports Salah bin Ghanem bin Nasser al-Ali.
HE the Minister of Culture and Sports also visited the pavilion of the State of Qatar at the 2017 Expo, which won the first place and the gold award among more than 100 pavilions of participating countries. He also reviewed the projects presented in the pavilion.
At the pavilion, HE the Minister noted that Qatar’s encouragement of scientific creativity among the youth has produced remarkable results on the global level and that the award represents an additional incentive for all scientific entrepreneurs in the field of alternative energy to further develop their experiences that meet with the requirements of the modern era and its challenges and responds to the vision of 2030 to diversify energy sources.
