LuLu Group has launched a Book Fair at LuLu Hypermarket, Barwa City. Running until August 20, the event is conducted in association with Crescent book shop, featuring a range of books for varied tastes.
The fair was inaugurated by Qatar News Agency chief editor Khaled al-Zeyana, in the presence of Friends Cultural Centre executive director Habeeb Rahman, noted executive member and noted writer Sheela Tomy, LuLu Group regional manager Shanavas P M and other officials and dignitaries.
Focused on raising awareness and inculcating the reading habit in a generation more technologically inclined, the LuLu Book Fair is aimed at encouraging reading for knowledge, fun, opportunities and inspiration, especially for the younger generation.
The range of books covers fiction, non-fiction, cookery, children’s books, self-help, Islamic, arts, philosophy or history, management, classics and lifestyle.
It will also offer a platform for the latest Arab and foreign publications to showcase diverse cultures and literacy styles.
